Today's school library media program plays an integral role in educating our young people for the future. It is where students learn to find, analyze, evaluate, interpret and communicate information, ideas, and skills they will need as adults to live and work in an information-based society. In addition to providing a setting in which whole group instruction may occur as well as independent learning, the staff has worked to directly integrate library services into the curriculum.
The goal of the library staff at West Milwaukee Intermediate School is to promote 100% success for teachers, students and parents by providing accurate information delivered through appropriate materials and technology in a timely and user-friendly manner. Ms Stringer works to provide the assistance and instruction necessary for staff and students to use, understand and apply information and digital that are available in the school library as well as the World Wide Web.
